Office & Larger Development Air Conditioning Systems primarily require the need for VRV (VRF) Systems for Comfort Cooling in the Summer Months & for Heating in Winter Months.

VRV (VRF) Systems

Variable Refrigeration Volume (Flow) Systems are the most modern development of the 'Split System'. They offer much more versatility and can operate between 8 - 64 Indoor Units from One External Condenser Unit. Each FCU can have Independent Control and be linked though Central Controllers or Building Management Systems (BMS). The Condenser Units are normally free standing due to size.

There are many Condenser Options for VRV Systems as follows:-

• Most Common 2-Pipe System – This offers all Internal FCU’s Independent Control but again in the same Mode IE Cooling OR Heating.


• 3-Pipe Heat Recovery System – This offers all Internal FCU’s Independent Control Incorporating Simultaneous Heating & Cooling for all Internal FCU’s.


• Water Cooled Condensers – These are normally used in Larger Developments where the Landlords provide Low Temperature Chilled Water to the Unit - Shopping Centres would be a good example.


• Replacement VRV-Q for R22 Refrigerant Gas Systems – These are direct replacements for Older R22 Installations which allows all existing installed Pipework to remain and to just replace Indoor FCU’s and Condensers.

There is No situation where a VRV System could not be Installed!
