DX 'Split' Systems are the most common form of controlling Indoor Temperatures for the Retail Sector due to the low costs involved and ease of installation.

Whether it is for Comfort Cooling in the Summer Months or for Heating in Winter Months, your Air Conditioning Systems will be operational 12 Months of the Year.

DX 'Split' Systems are commonly named as there is an Internal Fan Coil Unit (FCU) connected to an External Condensing Unit via refrigerant pipework and refrigerant gas.

There are several kinds of Split Systems as follows:-

• Single Split Systems where you have One Internal FCU to One External Condenser Unit


• Twin/Triple/Double Twin Split Systems, where you have 1 - 4 Internal FCU to One External Condenser Unit - This type of System is for when all internal FCU’s are in the same room as you only have One Refrigeration Pipe Circuit and One Controller to control all internal FCU's.


• Multi Split Systems where you have between 1 -5 Internal FCU to One External Condenser Unit -This type of System is more flexible as all internal FCU’s have their own Refrigeration Pipe Circuit and Individual Controls to control each FCU and Temperature, however, they do all have to operate in the same Mode IE All in Cooling or All in Heating Mode.

All models come supplied with either Infra-red or remote wired controls dependent on the type and manufacture. Where a number of units are installed into one area they would normally be 'banked' with just one controller to keep a constant temperature throughout.
